Lightsaber
The lightsaber is the Jedi’s traditional weapon. Because it is not widely used outside the ranks of the Jedi, its original purpose is for defense and utility, although all Jedi are trained for dueling as well.
The blade of a lightsaber is made of pure energy or plasma and has no mass. A high magnetic field surrounds the energy loop or plasma.
